Hailing from Northern France and created because of the farmer ban of Edam from Holland. It is coloured with Annatto to give it a beautiful, orange interior, with a butterscotch and caramel profile.
Beautifully wrapped and presented. Came packaged nicely and was cool when the cheese was delivered to me. The colour was a lovely tangerine orange though I’ve tasted older and harder cheeses, that crack when cut and had a slightly deeper flavour. This one did have some delicious crunchy crystal specks inside which were little tidbits of joy.
